Booking Confirmation & Deposit

Between 20% and 50% deposit is required to confirm event bookings. The size of the deposit is dependant on event type, time till event date and number of people involved.

Payment of the deposit is required by the due date as indicated on the invoice or booking form. If the deposit is not paid, Matthew Flinders Events has the right to cancel the event.

Refunds

A full refund will be given when Matthew Flinders Events has received at least 14 days notice before the commencement of an event. If less than 14 days notice is provided then the deposit amount is not refundable.

A refund of 50% of the total quotation will be given when Matthew Flinders Events has received at least 7 days notice before the commencement of an event.

No refund will be given when Matthew Flinders Events has received less than 7 days notice before the commencement of an event.

Quotations

Quotes to conduct Matthew Flinders Events are based on an estimated number of participants. Clients are required to accept quotes in writing or by signing the booking form.

Matthew Flinders Events is entitled to receive the quoted amount, even if the number of participants is below estimates. Where numbers increase from those indicated, an additional charge may be payable.

Where event costs are calculated using a per head charge, the appropriate sum will be calculated based on the actual number of participants. In order for the event to proceed, a minimum price/number of participants may be required and this will be indicated on the quote.

GST

Quotations provided by Matthew Flinders Events are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. All events are subject to GST and this is to be paid in accordance with the tax invoice provided.

Intellectual Property

Matthew Flinders Events retains any intellectual property in events it provides.

General Information

Matthew Flinders Events reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions without warning. The Teacher is deemed the person in charge of the class. The Directors of Matthew Flinders are the final arbiters of disputes.
